Split PDF is a free tool that divides one PDF into several smaller files. Split by page ranges you choose, into single pages, or into equal parts of a few pages each. The PDF is processed in your browser and never uploaded.
How to split a PDF
- Open your PDF.
- Choose how to split it:
- By page ranges: type ranges such as
1-3, 4-10, 11-. Each range becomes one PDF. - Every page separately: one PDF per page.
- Every few pages: for example, every 2 pages for double-sided scans.

Split or extract?
Split creates several files at once. If you only need one new PDF made from a few pages, useExtract Pages, where you can pick pages by tapping their thumbnails. Pages are copied exactly, so there is no loss of quality either way.

Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is processed inside your browser, so it never leaves your device. That makes it safe for contracts, bank statements, medical letters and other private documents.
How do I write page ranges?
Separate each new file with a comma: “1-3, 4-6, 7-” creates three PDFs. “7-” means page 7 to the end, and a single number such as “5” creates a one-page PDF.
What is the difference between Split and Extract?
Split makes several files at once. Extract Pages makes one new PDF from the pages you pick.
Is quality reduced?
No. Pages are copied exactly as they are; nothing is re-compressed.
